“I could never in a hundred summers get tired of this.” —Susan Branch
Excited to share our new #motheryourself series where we’ll be exploring a new theme every month with practical ideas + tips that will hopefully inspire your motherhood. This month is ☁☀SUMMER SURVIVAL☀☁. What’s your best tip for really finding peace and enjoyment in what can be the craziness (i.e. lack of routine, travel, tired little ones, etc.🙃) that summer can bring?
Whether you go to a salon, do it yourself or recruit a friend because you can’t even see your toes let alone reach them (#pregnantgalprobs), adding some polish is an easy+instant mood-lifter.
The perfect polish (for both its color and its name): Mums The Word by Butter London
The truth is having a baby isn’t easy on a relationship—in fact, it’s actually pretty hard!—so you’ll probably need to work at it and planning a date night is a good place to start. The best part: You don’t even have to get a sitter to get out of the house. Grab a blanket, some snacks, your laptop and the monitor and invite your partner out back to watch a movie under the stars. The change of scenery will be a literal breath of fresh air, and the little extra effort will go a long way toward making your time together feel extra special. The only question is what to watch?
We don’t think you can go wrong with our team pick: Moonrise Kingdom
Kick off your a.m. with a leisurely (or brisk— whatever you’re up for!) walk around the block for a bit of fresh air and movement before the heat of the day sets in.

We can’t wait to try these yummy sandwiches (that start with a rotisserie chicken) and this tasty snack board (the ultimate no-cook option).
